Household Hazardous Waste

As of January 1, 2016, the Township of Milford has joined the Resource Recovery and Recycling Authority of Southwest Oakland County (RRRASOC), which will expand offerings for recycling, household hazardous waste, and electronic waste disposal services to our residents. These enhanced services will be available to Township residents at no additional cost to the services already in place.

The RRRASOC website – www.rrrasoc.org – is a great source of information regarding recycling, composting, and more, including a listing of future household hazardous waste collection events. In addition to Milford Township, the authority serves residents in the Village of Milford and the cities of Farmington, Farmington Hills, Novi, Southfield, South Lyon, Walled Lake, and Wixom.

Household hazardous waste should not be disposed of with the regular trash collection. It should be disposed of at one of the Household hazardous waste collection events coordinated through the Township membership in RRRASOC. A complete, up to date, list of events is available at www.rrrasoc.org.
