REFUSE INFORMATION

Change in Collection
In order to service you more efficiently Waste Management will be providing collection in the Township on Monday and Tuesday of each week. This may change your collection day to Tuesday. Please see the Township map to verify your collection day. Also, for your convenience, we will be providing weekly collection for curbside recycling.

Pick Up Schedule

Your pick-ups will generally fall around the same time each week. However, due to traffic, road conditions, and fluctuating waste volumes, your collection time may vary. To insure pick up, please have your rubbish at the curb by 6:00 a.m.

Place rubbish in tied plastic bags or cans (with a lid) no larger than 32-gallons in size and weighing no more than 40 pounds each.

What About Large Items?
Large items such as furniture, appliances, mattresses, carpet, etc. will be collected on the same day as your rubbish. Place at the curb with your rubbish by 6:00 a.m. on your collection day.

NO TELEPHONE CALL IS NEEDED FOR LARGE ITEM COLLECTION. SIMPLY PLACE AT THE CURB ON YOUR REGULAR COLLECTION DAY.

PLEASE REMOVE ANY DOORS FROM ITEMS BEFORE PLACING AT THE CURB (for the safety of children playing near by). Bundle all carpet in lengths of 4 feet or less and weighing no more than 50 pounds.

Items With Freon Refrigeration and air conditioning units contain refrigerant gases or Freon.

Federal law requires Freon be removed by a "Certified Technician" prior to disposal. Waste Management provides this service for $20.00 per appliance. Call us 248-473-2525 to request this service. No refrigerator until will be picked up unless prior arrangements are made.

· Yard Waste/Dirt/Rocks
· Wood/Dry Wall
· Asphalt/Concrete/Bricks
· Fencing/Railroad Ties
· Tree Stumps
· Wet Paint Cans
· Automobile Tires  
-Let paint dry and place at curb with lid off.
