Mission Statement

The mission of the Milford Township Parks & Recreation Commission is to provide recreational facilities and activities to its residents and visitors through:

• Recreational land acquisition for trails and athletic fields.
• Construction of recreational trails, ball fields and soccer fields.
• Preservation of wildlife habitat corridors and wetlands.
• Coordination with other park organizations and governmental entities for the purpose of extending recreational lands and activities.

The Township Board established the Township Parks & Recreation Commission on July 18, 2001. The Commission then began the task of identifying and evaluating existing facilities and programs within the Township, as well as current and future recreation needs and opportunities. This information has become the basis of the five-year Recreation Master Plan as adopted by the Township Board on December 18, 2002.

The Township Parks & Recreation Commission meets the third Monday of every month, at 7:00 p.m. at the Milford Civic Center, 1100 Atlantic Street, Milford. The Commission welcomes public attendance and input.
