FoMSP UPDATE

Commissioner commented on the 2006 fundraiser events calendar.

The Commission discussed a plan, as outlined by Commissioner Mazzara, for locating a skatepark in Hubbell Pond Park.  An endorsement was given by the Village Parks & Recreation Commission and one is pending from the YMCA.  Commissioner Mazzara said there are four sites on the YMCA property available and the YMCA and the Village Council would make the final decision on the location.  The Commissioners felt that having property in which to locate a skate park would greatly enhance fundraising efforts.

Commissioner Parks moved, Commissioner Heimann seconded to schedule a fall picnic jointly with the Village Parks & Recreation Commission with a date to be determined later.  Vote unanimously carried.
