FRIENDS OF MILFORD SKATE PARK (FoMSP) UPDATE

Commissioner Mazzara stated the group has an opportunity to get land donated for the skate park in from the YMCA in Hubbell Pond Park, which would in turn create opportunities to apply for construction grants.  He said organizations that give grants look more favorable on groups that already have the land for their project.

The Commissioners discussed at length the Hubbell Pond Park property and where to locate the skate park.  Vice-Chairman Drury explained that a recommendation would be made from the FoMSP to the Village Parks & Recreation Commission at their April meeting and from there the plan would be presented to the Village Council.  Commissioner Mazzara felt the presentation should include location selection criteria.

VILLAGE PARKS & RECREATION UPDATE
