The neighboring communities of the Village of Milford and Charter Township of Milford have developed a strong and mutually-beneficial relationship. Building upon this, the two Michigan communities embarked on a planning process to create a more relevant and efficient Master Plan that maximizes the benefits to each community. A unified set of goals and objectives as well as a community-wide Future Land Use Plan were formulated using a process that incorporated a variety of opportunities for citizen contribution. The Plan was complimented by a Green Infrastructure Plan that focused on the preservation of important natural features within the community, and a Building Regulating Plan that outlined the building placement and public realm standards for the village center.
