Larry Waligora

Milford's first full-time Fire Chief, Larry Waligora, reported for duty on October 1, 2001. Waligora spent the last 17 years in Ada, Michigan, where he was the Deputy Fire Chief for the past 10 years. He is a licensed EMT-B, certified as a Fire Officer III, Hazardous Material Advance Technician, and Fire Instructor. Waligora has been married to Sharon for 28 years and has three children, Matt, 26; Keith, 23; and Breanna, 19.
The new Chief says he is very excited about being appointed to the position and that he looks forward to working with a team of professional firefighters that are truly dedicated to their community.
The Department is preparing to extend its services to become a Basic Life Support (BLS) transport unit.
